Item type:Publication, Determining the Cardioprotective Effect of Mongolian Medicine Shaosha-7 by Expression of Bcl-2 and Bax Proteins(2024-08-16) ;Xiangjun Yang; ;Uuganbayar Baatartsogt; Background: Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) plays an imperative role in the expansion of cardiovascular disease. Shaosha-7 has been exhibited to possess antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiaggregant, and vasodilator properties. Shaosha-7, a combination of the traditional herb and Mongolian medicine, is effective and safe in treating atherosclerosis in clinical trials. We assess the cardioprotective effects of Shaosha-7 against myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R) injury in rats and explore its possible mechanism. Methods: Seventy male Sprague Dawley rats were randomized into seven groups, 10 rats in each: normal healthy group (NG), non-MI/R group (Sham), MI/R injury group (Control group) were treated with 2 ml/100 g distilled water, once a day for 15 days and, MI/R group treated with a low, medium, high dose of Shaosha-7 at the doses of 0.4, 0.8 and 1.6 g/kg (Drug group 1,2,3 ) respectively, once a day for 15 days, and MI/R group treated with 0.3 g/kg Danshen (Positive drug group), once a day for 15 days. MI/R was induced by ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) for 30 minutes, then the thoracic cavity was closed after reperfusion in the Control and Drug groups. In the Sham group, the LAD was exposed without occlusion. Blood samples were collected from the carotid artery (10 rats in each group) after 2 hours of reperfusion, to determine the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-18 (IL-18), cardiac troponin I (cTnI), creatine kinase-myocardial band (CK-MB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. The expression of NF-кB was detected by immunohistochemistry. The animals were then sacrificed and the hearts were harvested for histopathology and western blot analysis. Infarct size was measured in the remaining five rats in each group after 24 hours of reperfusion. Results: Shaosha-7 significantly decreased levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-18, cTnI, CK-MB, LDH, MDA, GSH-Px, and infarct size through the upregulating the expression of BCL-2 protein and down-regulating the expression of Bax protein. Conclusions: Shaosha-7 is effective in protecting the myocardium against MI/R injury in rats. Its possible cardioprotective mechanism involves inhibition of the inflammatory response and apoptosis following MI/R injury. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect of “Antischemin” Upon Lipid Peroxidation Process on Brain Ischemic Disorder Induced on Experimental Rat Model(2019-07-24); ; ; In recent years, wide range drug development research that prevents cerebral tissue and cell necrosis, degradation are being carried out. The purpose of our research is to determine effect of “Antischemin” during stimulation of lipid peroxidation on white rat brain ischemic disorder model. We have performed using Farkes E et al 2007 methodology. Our study of brain ischemia induced model in experimental white rat shows that Antischemin inhibits lipid peroxidation and has neuro-protective effects from neuron necrosis, degradation. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect of Antischemin Preparations on Hypoxia(Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, 2021-04-01); ; ; Objectives: We have aimed to determine the anti-hypoxic action of antischemin, an active anti-inflammatory drug that protects brain cells from damage and death during cerebral hemorrhage and hypoxia. Methods: We have studied antischemin made from Astragalus membraneceus roots, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi roots, and Gingko Biloba leaves denizen in Mongolia and compared its protective effect against hypoxia compared to each of its constituents alone 6 groups of 8 mice. Normobaric hypoxia resistance as well as tissue hypoxia resistance was determined. Results: For antischemin preparation 100 mg/kg, the tolerance of normobaric hypoxia was 42 minutes or 47.2% higher in the treatment group (p < 0.001), and the latent period of hypoxia was increased by 22.7% (p < 0.05). The period of hypoxia increased 32% (p < 0.001). Conclusions: Antischemin has been shown to make tissue more resistant to hypoxia and and have more anti-hypoxic activity than its constituents alone. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Relationship Between Some Parameters of the Membrane-Redox Potentials Three-State Line System with the Human Constitutional Types of Traditional Medicine(Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, 2015-09-25); ; ; Objectives: According to Tibetan-Mongolian traditional medicine theory, humans are classified into three main individuals based on the Rlung, Mkhris or Badgan symbolic code (SC). Our objective was to research the relationship between some parameters of membrane-redox potentials three-state line system in relation to the human constitutions of traditional medicine. Methods: The quantities ratio for the SC of Rlung, Mkhris, and Badgan was determined by the Doc-Am-I program. We determined the lipid profile, erythrocyte membrane resistance capacity and body mass index. Results: It was shown that the concentration of serum lipids, body mass index and membrane resistance capacity of individuals of the Badgan SC group was increased with statistical significance in comparison to the other two groups. Our study revealed that people of Rlung SC group were characterized by the highest concentration of malondialdehyde and the lowest rate of membrane resistance capacity compared to people of the other two SC groups. Conclusion: Our study defined the relevance of the membrane redox potentials three-state line system in connection to the human constitutional types such as the abstractly coded classifications of Rlung, Mkhris, and Badgan of traditional medicine.
